To tell you the truth I am still pretty much undecided. I like kerry for his conservation and health plans. I like bush because of his role he plays with the military. He should get another chance in office look at what he has had to face so far in his 4 yr term. 911 afghanistan Iraq he might be a war minded person but he has done alot in his term. Me being military I like what he has done for us.

stlhd_dreaming what branch are you in? depending on the awnser I may have a solution for you. I can A. sell you my dingy and you can go fishing. or B. concider making the trip over and going fishing. option B would of course depend on your awnser to the first question and my wifes approval and also you having knowledge of how to catch these fish, because I don't. I don't know if the old lady will go for it but figured I would throw it out there.

Im in the Navy. A dinghy I dont think would be the greatest Idea to take out on lake washington on Saturday. This is one of the fisheries that you got to take a look and decide go out in a dinghy or drowned every jet sled, and boat will be out on lake wahington. I did the Lake two years ago when they opened it and there where boats upon boats out there. You might be able to get away with it. Your plan A no thanks though I appreciate your offer but I am looking for a DB.

no problem, the dingy is a 14 ft crestliner, but I don't have downriggers on it and so it would probably not be worth the time. I was just prodding you with the branch of service thing. I am in the Marine Corps. Good luck on saturday.

Why don't you shoot a PM to Grandpa2--I seem to remember him mentioning that Puget Sound Anglers had some sort of program with it's membership to take active duty military guys out fishing.

I'm sure boat seats on a one day sockey fishery are at a premium--but if you're willing to be someones slave-you never know.

Just a suggestion that you may be able to rent a boat from MWR. They have boats and outboards at reasonable prices for the weekend. Pick up Friday and return Monday. I'm not sure if there is a MWR over in Everett or not. I've considered renting a driftboat to fish the OP rivers.

I don't think I'm going to fish for sockeye. I'm looking at either steelhead fishing (not at BC)or salmon fishing on the opener in Area 9.

fishing with dems is one thing but fishing with squids is asking a lot from this old marine. last time i was on a squid baot it caught fire four times. I will be working saturday ,just found out, and hitting the lake after. pm your number and if you cant make it this week end i can always use weight in the front of the drift boat.
