Goin to the east cape of Cabo in Oct. Any suggestions? Places to fish, places to stay.

I've flyfished Cabo six out of the past seven years in October. Lots of fish to be caught. I've never fished the East Cape area.

Even though it is a flyfishing board, there are a ton of good people on the board that fish the East Cape regularly. They will give you some suggestions of where to stay.

My choice would be Rancho Buena Vista. Its probably the oldest resort in the area with lots of history. My wife and I honeymooned there in October, just after a hurricane went thru.the place was a mess but we still caught fish,lots of dorado a sailfish and blue marlin. Katosan

Lots of great places to stay in East Cape, are you planning on stying down in Cabo San Lucas or further up the coast towards Lapaz? You can fish off anything from a small panga upto a Cabin Cruiser that is fully loaded or something in between. All things price dependent.

Cabo is a lot of fun and Oct is a great time to be there, the Bisbee tournament is in Oct and also one of the big Tuna Tournaments is in either late oct or early Nov.

I have a timeshare that I rent out once in awhile if your intetrested let me know when your going and I can see what is available.

If its just going to be you and some buddys then what Katosan suggested. Rancho Buena Vista is a pretty cool place but it sits by itself way out there. Good value, great food. La Paz itself is also real nice. Cabo is cool just sort of a downer when you pay like 3 bucks for a beer. In La Paz, the hotel Las Arcos is a good place to stay.
