Anybody been down to Narrows or PD lately for live herring? How are they? Size? I'm looking for about 10-15 dozen fresh to take to La Push this Saturday.

Hopefully they'll have some. I was at Buds Baits last week and I got the last 15 dozen he had. He told me the Herring boats hadn't gotten any Herring in almost 2 weeks. He really had to scrounge the nets to get all the bait I wanted.

I called PD yesterday and they said they did have herring, 5-6" for $3.50/doz., is this about the going rate? Has anyone bought live herring recently? Thoughts on frozen?

Go with the live stuff and brine it the night before. Thats what I've been doing.
