I was wondering why nothing has been posted on the WDFW site about either how many fish were caught last Saturday or the possibility of one more day of fishing. I had heard there was a chance there might be a mid-week opening (due to Seafair activities) but so far nothing has been posted. Anyone know anything?

Thursday noon to 8pm opening, same regs as before.

We have about 1900 fish left in the non-treaty share.

How do you get your info. Sky Guy? I've been all over the WDFW site and can't find anything.

It's true, it's true. Now is it worth the hassle of getting someone to cover my call to able to fish from 5pm to 8pm?

Did anyone really have much success in the afternoon? I didn't fish either opener this year but I recall from years past that mid-day and evening trips weren't very successful.

OOPS. Just saw it. I guess I was looking on the WDFW site too early. Sky Guy, thought maybe you had a red phone to the gamies.

On the first opener we caught six fish between 4-8 pm. 65-80 feet.

Hmmm... Delay my trip to Neah Bay one day??? Naahhh Those sockeye BBQ'd and smoked up really nice but I'll take an ocean-caught, actively-feeding silver or king over a slimy LK Wash sockeye any day.

Sure was fun catching 'em though. My 9 and 11 yr old boys caught their limits on two consecutive double headers. They thought they were the sh!%. Had to shell out five bucks to my 9 yr old for catching the biggest fish of the day.

I had one evening trip last opening season that we limits a boat of four. Talking after 5pm. It was very good indeed.

I missed both openers, the first one because I was fishing at LaPush (great fishing), then last Saturday I had to fly to Kansas City for work. The plane left Seatac at 8AM, taking off to the North, then turning East over Lake Washington. What a site that was looking down on Lake Washington at all of those boats out there fishing.

Now it is going to be open Thursday afternoon and I am headed out that day for a weeklong flyfishing/camping trip with my girlfriend in the Canadian Rockies. So I am going to miss it again.
