The Cow has been dredged of all fish. I would not waste the time.

First time down there in years, lots of fish and boats. Not my idea of fishing. I am waiting to see a 12 man guide sled, maybe 36' long with a galley.

Went down there yesterday. Did pretty well but got a little mad at the guys who love to pull plugs where everyone likes to boondog. Not to mention the inevitable "low holers"

Oh well...it is the Cowlitz...

And you want to know why I go back? Cause I catch fish there....

its great if you like quiet intimate fishing....

fish are a little beat up, between the anchored sleds, drift boats, free drifters, backtrollers, dredgers, fly fishermen, pontoon boasts, float tubes, and bankies its a real nature experiance! It's like dessert storm and weapons of mass distruction all in one.

Well got a late start on the Cow yesterday put in at Barrier about 1:00. and float to mission. Get some nice trout above Blue cr and no sled it was nice just to float and not here them.Got to Blue Cr about 6:00 drop the pick in a new spot and start fishing shrimp had no takers broke of so I try eggs and fish on about 9 pound in the boat. sorry no pics it was a long afternoon also saw about 10 fish boated in the short time we were there.

Here's irony for you....Yesterday on the lower drift we got to see two eagles close up..a beaver building his lodge, several deer and, oh yeah, a pair of coyotes came to the edge of the river......wild america 'o' rama!!
