Heading to Barkley next week. My question is simple. The offshore bank (Le Perouse) is huge! People talk about fishing 7 mile bank, SW bank out 12 miles, and another spot out about 22 miles. Do I need exact GPS cordinates for these spots or is any spot on the bank just fine? Do I run untill I see the baots? Thanks for the help.

Seems your not getting much help, eveningbite.

The guys I know have coordinates for the spots you speak of. Having never been outside at Barkley myself, I don't know if you'll see consentrations of others out there or not. Based on the reports this year, however, it may not matter. Pick a spot try it for a while. If you hit nothing, move on.

Good luck.

You really do want to get GPS coordinates....ask around at the Island West docks or office and you can probably find someone who will give you them. Last place we fished was also called the "gullies"...just about due south out of Ucluelet 22 miles. Its where the bank drops off real steep. I don't have them handy, they're on my buddies GPS at Shilshole or I would give them to you. Hope this helps.
