There are three diffrent diver methods the hot&tot the jet diver and a plug.I paint my diver flat black I use the std.hot&tot and the size 10 jet diver.the hot&tot gives the rod some actions so you know it's working.I run 6 foot leader and spin glo or birdy if I'am running shrimp I use a double hook egg's a single hook oh don't forget the bead between the hook and the spin glo. I hope this help you

Do prefer to use the jet diver or the hot&tot? Is one more effective than the other depending on the situation? When you get a bite, do you wait for the fish to bury the rod or do you set the hook right when you feel a hit?

Thanks for the tips!

I prefer the Hot&Tot it give action to the rod. I put the rod in the pole holder and let it bury fish on
