The catch reports out of Shilshole weren't that good today. Out of about 40 boats checked by 10:30 1 boat had six, 2 boats had 4, 3 or 4 boats had 2 including our boat and the rest had 1 or none. I'd say 1/3 of the boats overall had none.

Thank you. Which point did you go and what type of set up did you use?

I appreciates your reports.

Yup, Meadow Point was dead (at least until 8am when we left). Things were a bit better at Edmonds. We got a six and an eleven pounder, both bright marked silvers.

We were using the standard green spot flasher with the glow splatterbach hootchie for our 2 fish. Caught ours at 35 to 50 feet between 7am and 8 am. We fished just north of Meadow point.

My buddy and I went out to this morning. We got on the water 6:30a.m. at Meadow pt. As soon as we put both rig down and bang! Double. 10lb and 6.5lb and right after the immediate fight, I got huge hit. It should have been Nice King. He broke my Flasher and took all my rig. And one hour later another King-15lb, but released. No hit for next two hours and went to West pt. But nothing so we came back to Meadow pt. and hit another double. It was 5lb Silver and another 15lb King. What is going one? If we try to catch king, it is so difficult, but if we didn't aim for King then wala. Fishing is always unpredictable.......

Anyway we had great time this morning for first silver salmon fishing this year.

Anyone else report?

Just got back from Shilshole. Got 1 native coho early and two other take downs. Nada else but a small sole. It was a nice morning to be on the water though! \:\)

Only saw a few others get fish. I would say it was pretty slow over all.

Hello KingSalmon:

That line scream one, was it King or Silver for your guess? What were you using this morning for 9lb and 14lb hooknose and how deep was it? I heard from someone how to fish at West point. He said incoming tide try between green and yellow buoy and outgoing tide he said try north side of green bouy. Do you do such a thing?

Please let me know.
Thanks.

Turikichi.
