I have a friend that has never caught a salmon in Washington fishing with me this weekend. We were thinking about a camping trip too. I figured I would kill two birds with one stone and head out onto the Peninsula again.

Anyone know how fishing was this weekend out at Sekiu? Any information would be helpful.

I ask because it seems to be a little different this year. I was up at NB two weeks ago and fishing was not its usual self. Was told by some guys that were at Sekiu that fishing was slow.

We just got back from 6 days at the Coho resort in Sekiu. The fishing was really good in the morning until about 10am,than it slowed down in the afternoon. Most mornings we fished three rods and ended up with 20 or more fish between 6am and 9am.

We also got a Silver 15lbs or bigger each day,with a 19lb wild fish being the biggest.

While the fishing was a little bit slower than normal,it was still pretty darn hot.
