I have a friend that lives on the creek and asked if there's a run of silvers up there.

Canyon Creek and several of its tribs generally has good returns of coho. However Canyon Creek and for that matter the South Fork Stillaguamish is never open for salmon fishing.

Why is it that the south fork and tribs are never open to salmon fishing does anybody know. Was doing some steelheading on it last year and every time out I was catching silvers and chums like crazy ( not targeting them ) but I would say about 1/4 of the silvers I caught where hatchery fish. I was told that there is no hatchery fish could the fish strayed from the north fork run????
