Saw a reccomendation for this product on another board and was wondering if anyone out there has one or has used one?? Any reports on installation, durrabilty ease of use??? I don't have the cash for a tr-1 ( and not sure that is what I would spend it on if I did have the cash) but this combined with my ez steer might be a nice set up.
Thanks

I've had one mounted on my 8hp Honda and it has worked great so far. Only have 30 hours on it though. Did have a some difficulty mounting the gryo bracket but solved the problem by drilling a new hole in the bracket for one of the mounting bolts. I also can't seem to remember to turn the darn thing off at no fault of the Trollmaster.

I also contemplated purchasing the TR-1 but decided to buy the Trollmaster and then a Raymarine Auto Pilot for the main at essentially the same price. With the motors linked I have the same effect as the TR-1 but gain the auto pilot for the main which is an extremely effective aid especially when cruising in the dark or fog.

I installed one last April on my Honda 8hp. Its been working great, I've got over 150 hours on it. I would definitely recommend one.

I just recommended one to my buddy (he didn't want to spring for the TR1) and he loves it on his new Yami 8hp 4-stroke.
