Got a special b-day pass today from my family to do some fishing guilt free. My oldest daughter added to the treat and joined me. And what a b-day it was. We started at 2:00 at 4 mile rock heading to west point. West Point worked for us, getting 9 and 13 lb'ers. between 3:00-4:00 (just after tide change). 65-75' deep, one on white, the other green hootiche. On the way in we hit a 11 lb'er. Just awesome! I was overworking the vac-u-seal by 5:30. The smoker will be busy next weekend. It's good to see some fish after last weekend when they were so scarce. Birthday presents Today's hat trick. That's why their called Silvers. My beauties: my daughter, an nice coho, and the boat.

I was wondering if I was the only one who thought that was a pretty scummy thing to say.
Beautiful fish. And as a father of two daughters, I can say it's so cool to see others getting their girls involved. Fortunately mine are still little and I have a few years of fishing experiences before other things take over their lives.
Great fish. I'm heading out tomorrow with my eldest. Would love to get into just one of those three fish.

Mark - unfortunately for you, besides being cute, and a great fishergirl - she's smart too. And she expects the same from guys. For all the rest of you, thanks for the support and good wishes. This daughter of mine is the luckiest person I've ever seen on the water. She caught her first Wahoo when she was 5, and a 63 lb'er when she was eleven. She's caught striped bass >20lb, big dorado, tuna, record setting permit, and striped marlin. If I ever get time to enter one of the local derbies, you can bet she'll be in the boat. I'm damn proud of her - and protective too!

What a great birthday, waino, and kudos to you for exhibiting self control following a really stupid comment. I just checked out the kid's profile AND his website. He's 15, has probably never "hit" anything, and hopefully he'll learn something from this and get that sort of stupid disrespectful behavior out of his system early.

Got to love kids. I have a daughter and would kill him. Think back to your days when you guys where 15 come on. It truly was uncalled for and disresptectful on this board. I remember when I was 15 I was chasing tail all over the place. I am sure you guys remeber 15 yrs age. I know I do if I only new the stuff I know now back then. It defiantly wouldnt be the same. Hey Waino,
Happy Birthday! I'm glad it was a good one.
You have a beautiful daughter... and she can fish. That is a gift in itself and one that will hopefully last a lifetime.
Please don't let the trouble makers here spoil it with their putdowns and fault finding.
If fifteen year old Mark says he would hit on her I will guess he probably meant it as a compliment... not as a crude affront.
How many others here have had the embarassment of having put their own foot in their mouths at that age?
Fish and have fun.

And that you did! By the sound Waino's tone I think you have been granted a "bye" this time, but I wouldnt make a habit of speaking like that about fisherman's daughters.
