Well I miss read the hunting regs and told the wife that I would be hunting on Saturday. I will be fishing instead, so I was hoping to get some info on Everett area. New to the area and my boat is 14' w/25 hp prop (limited big water and shallow water). Can a guy do ok fishing around Spencer Island? How is the launch there? I hope to hunt ducks in the area once it actually opens (not this weekend ).

You can launch at Langus riverfront park (by Dagmar's, use mapquest for directions). It's not bad. Troll wiggle warts around the water there, you shouldn't have a problem with the prop. Troll all the way up to Lowell park if you want. Many folks just troll around under the I-5 bridge and do well. Good luck!

Ate lunch at Langus today. Saw several jumpers in about a half hour. Tide was just beginning to ebb. Talked to one boater that said they had 2 in the boat.

Thanks for the information. I fished there for pinks last year and had reasonable luck throwing pink jigs. I usually try to flyfish but have finally started resorting to gear as is more practical depending on conditions. Gee, I even bought my first bottle of Mike's fish oil stuff but haven't used it yet. Anyone ever have reasonable luck flyfishing for silvers at Langus or nearer to I-5? If not, are the blue fox spinners and dick nites the things to try? My luck so far this year off the local beaches hasn't been so good. Then again I haven't been dragging myself out of bed and arriving at darkothirty either.
