Or did I not read them correctly? I am hoping I am the one who is wrong after today. I went out for a few hours to fish the Puyallup and was confused to see a boat and net under Clarks creek (going over bridge). Before I casted out, a man stopped to ask if I had seen any indians coming down. No, I said, He said they have been netting 6 days a week and the river road Ted was to meet with some officials this week over it. Before we finished chatting, a boat went up. He took off to get pictures. Later , the boat came down and it looked as if they were letting the net out the whole way across the river. It stopped about 8 feat from the bank where I was and they just continued down river with the net across most of the river, as far as the net could reach. After calling the poaching line, told to call police, got transferred and no answer, I guess I should freeze all my eggs as their is no point in fishing a river on the hope maybe 1 got through(tried it!). I am very dissapointed and truly hope they had the right to fish after 12 today , otherwise, there is no reason for me to pay for the right to fish when the fish are being dredged out in public with no one to regulate it.

Hmnn, I read the post below and guess it is Thursday they pull out. I was told today by 3 people and should have done my own research. I still don't think pulling the net down the whole river is right. I boo- hood a bit over it, but still enjoy the fishing. I was offered one by a nice netter last week , but will wait until I can proudly offer my own caught fish to my family and tell my dad that " hey , I can catch!"

Yeah it is pretty disheartening about those darn nets. I went out twice to the river and the nets were in 2 of the 3 days i hit it, and needless to say I limited out on the day the there were no nets in. I know what you mean Angg, they have been stringin the nets across the whole river. And I too think it is pretty pointless to fish it until the nets are done. Someone does need to regulate, I think we are getting a little more screwed this year on this river than in years past. Just my .02.
