I checrked out both today. Hoodsport had lots of Chums out in fron of the hatchery. I was there at high tide. It didn't look like they were not letting any into the hatchery. I didn't see any net out either.

The Skok was a little high and dirty, but was in pretty good shape - certainly fishable. Saw a few bright Silvers caught - really nice looking fish. And I saw some real skanky Chums up on the bank - Smokers \:D

I drove the whole loop from Belfair to the bridge. If Chums are what you're after you don't have to put up with the mob at Hoodsport or the crap that goes on on the Skok. Find a creek that dumpd into the salt and scope it out around high tide for some fish rolling around. Any creek no matter how small will have Chum around it. It's been said Chum will try and swim up a garden hose if given a shot. These fish will be far less spooky and more willing to bit then the shell shocked Dogs at the meatholes.

I was doing a little recon over at Hoodsport today myself. I saw a few fish caught in the Zone. Saw a few more rolling around the beach north of the Zone too.

Just got home from 2 days on the Skok and canal. Limits on BIG, bright silvers both days, but very definately combat fishing at its finest. C&R'd 17 chumlords yesterday and 14 today. All bucks!!! No hens!!! Whats with that?

on saturday we each kept two silvers and CNR'd many more. Ended up not fishing hoodsport because of the good fishing on the skok. Sunday we fished at the wrong time (low tide) and only hooked two. Anyone know how long the silver run on the Skok lasts for?

Can you point me in the right direction to fish the Skok? I've been there a few times but have only fished very near the mouth where the road runs along it.

I know that the Chums invade by the millions in November, and Silvers become more scarce. Talk about fun!!!!! I don't eat fish much anyways--strictly C&R--so Chums are my favorite type of fishing!!!!
