I broke my GL3 last Tuesday. I packaged it up and mailed it to Loomis on Wednesday. I had a new one delivered to my door step today.
7 day turn around ! That's customer service!!

I broke my 1025C IMX after 10+ years. It is the only Loomis rod that I have ever broken and I have a feeling that it may have been my fault and was putting too much pressure on it. I sent the rod back and asked to keep the butt section. Mine has a different reel seat than the new rods and I like mine better. They only replaced the top section for me and I got it back in no time. Outstanding customer service!

I think STR 1025C IMX is the best made rod ever. If I had to choose only one rod to fish for the rest of my life that would be it. I have many many other rods from short to long bunch of other Loomis and Lamis but I keep going back to my 1025. The sensitivity is amazing yet a powerful and a very light rod. You can fish all day without getting tired. It was worth every penny. I should buy another one just in case \:D

keep that rod-tube you used for shipping handy. You'll need it again

\:\) you are funny. I think most rods are broken due to operator error. Loomis has been a very good quality rod for me.

In the past, I had used my IMX for several years in AK for reds and big kings. STR1025C is good all-around rod. Now I use my Loomis HSR1025C for the big guys or fast water kings like Fraser.

Buy an IMX and you will like it. Sounds kind of expensive at first but it will grow on you like a good quality wife \:D

Loomis rods (IMX's in particular) are just like potato chips.....you can't stop at just 1.

I think Loomis makes a fine rod.

Almost all broken rods are due to operator error. High sticking is a major problem. I have been through the Lamiglas factory recently and was shown some of the broken rod they get back. In almost every case they replace them with no questions asked. Often the rods are accompanied by a note . Usually the rod was broken on a "Big Native"

I think they appreciate the honest notes where the guy says, "Hey I was snagged on a log, using Power Pro, and yanked like crazy and it broke."
