The Steelies should be showing any day now off the west beaches of Whidbey Island -- anybody trying for them yet and have a report to post?

I've not seen anyone on the beach with steelhead rigs yet. As of last weekend, the few diehards beach guys were still casting hardware for late silvers or chum.

I'll give it a go after Blackmouth closes with the end of November. I put 20 - 30 hours a year on this fishery, but have yet to land a Steelhead. Maybe this will be my year.
