The last post on this subject erupted into a drift boat VERSUS Jet Boat WWF Smackdown match. Well here goes.

I have a drift boat and I'm intermediate to expert rower. I would like to drift the Satsop this weekend for the first time. I was referencing the Satsop Map in "Flyfisher's Guide to Washington". It shows the following boat ramps:
* Two ramps, on each side of the river near Shafer Park.
* A ramp up Middle Satsop road ~ 1 mile from the West and East fork confluence
* The last ramp is located down close to the confluence with the Chehalis.

Are these the only boat ramps?
How far is it between each of the boat ramps?
Are there any tricky spots between any of these boatramps?
What is the phone number for any shuttle services for the Satsop?
Which sections fish best for Chum?

When you speak of a boat Ramp at the "Freeway", I'm assuming you are talking about a boat ramp that is at the bridge where Hwy 12 crosses the freeway. Is this correct?

Yes, that is the only "real" ramp on the river. The ramp at the forks has been out for years.
The only hazard I'm aware of is the "ramp" just below the hwy and the sweeper below it. The water has dropped so I have not been in the river since the fourth.
Also there is no shuttle service for the area. Bring a friend with a vehicle or a scooter. Perhaps you can also hook up with another drifter. Since it's a good ten-twelve mile drift.

Or if you just want to catch chum you can access the river up near Schafer park and along the road near Cook Cr.
