Is this a good float for a beginner? Are there any spots to look out for? Also, does anyone know of a good shuttle service in the area? Thanks in advance.

yes it's a good starter run. you should alwas be on the look out for trouble when on the river, but you would have to go looking for it to find it on this run.

no turn around. but i might be able to help you if i'm fishing the same day you want to go.

Pretty easy section to row if you have any kind of respect for the river. Most just do Sultan to Ben Howard. Going all the way to Lewis Street adds another couple of miles but is doable even during these short days. Depends how hard you fish each section. No local turnaround is available that I know of.

Index Hook and Beezer's comment is absolutely correct regarding the level of difficulty for this drift.
I started my DB lesson on this drift.

There is one outfit located in Monroe does offer shuttle service.
Talk to Ron Torda or James Dean @ all about the fly shop in Monroe.
Here is the link and phone # is there.

for shuttle, try the community transit bus, the schedual is online. hard to beleive that no one does a shuttle on such a popular river.
