Okay this is just for fun...

This thread is all about a photo montage of all time greatest (darkest, ugliest, fire-engine red, chrome-black, snaggle-toothed, egg-spilling, jizz-dripping, fungus-balled, near-carcass) boots you or a buddy or another angler has EVER caught.

To get us started, here's one I ran across recently... ya think he'll smoke up?

As far as the first post goes, it's good to see "grandpa" is still alive and kickin' on the Sol Duc. \:D

Here's a coho a buddy of mine caught. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was the most brilliant color red I've ever seen on a fish before. \:\)

A boot nonetheless. ;\)

Well here is the bigger version of my avatar. Notice my face, was on the verge of gagging, the smell was disgusting. Also, when I picked it up by the tail sounded like a towel ripping. EW!!! \:D

my entry for worst alive one. My first year of fishing, thought that was a real trophy now its there for laughs.

Okay, I found a few. I have a bunch of different species!!!

Here's the darkest one I ever wanted to catch. Approx 65-70 lb. Kenai king milling a back eddy while our halibut captain & I were fishing for silvers in early Spetember:

Hardly the darkest king we've ever had on the OP, but it was a pig, within sight of the ocean, covered in lice and still looked like this:

I couldn't find too many boot silvers off hand (I know I have some from upper Satsop when I used to fish it years ago in boxes somewhere). But here's one from BC on the bugrod that interrupted my steelie fishing:

Honorable mention?? This sockeye that Corey got while fishing for trout on upper Kenai in late August, YUCK!! Fungus spots give exta points ;\)

And a rehash ... for our steelhead, this is still the best of ALL-TIME!! Even beats Downtime's since this fish is actually in two pieces ;\)

I guess the following fish really isn't that much of boot when compared to the previous fishies.

Anyways, I am never one to let someone take a picture of me holding toooo dark of a fish but hey, any king that munches the fly like she did is a pretty damn cool fish in my book...so a picture was taken.

Damn downtime! I've been trying to figure out what kind of fish that was in your avatar.... now we know. YUCK!!! I thought I specified near-carcass in the initial post.

Here's another live one:

I couldn't come up with any nasty ones to match previous photos, but here some that I dug up. \:\)

My boot Kinger, a little dark nate, and a fire engine red.

Two of my buddy's boot Kinger, Chums, and a jizz-dripping nate.

And to round out the Pacific salmon quintet, here's a 12# Kenai River pink from 2002 caught by my then 10 yr old daughter Marci:
