If someone is looking for the best fishing/hunting combo trip around, what's the very best one?
Any type of game and fish, it doesn't really matter.
2-4 days, anywhere from BC through Idaho through Oregon.
P.S. If there are fish in Afganistan, then I could fish AND shoot at terrorists....now there's a thought.

Float the Salmon. It's a draw area for big game so you have to get lucky but you can bird hunt and fish the full float.

It's been quite a few years but I used to float the Grand Ronde in southeast Wa. We would do well on steelhead, smallmouth, chucker and mule deer in October.

Lower Salmon from Hammer cr to Heller bar on the Snake. Some of the best days of my life have been down there.. Not just the fishing and bird hunting, just the place itself. The one thing I can see that might be a bummer for a Washington guy is the fact that you would need 3 different licences.
