Been lurking for awhile. Saw this new poll and found it a little interesting. Seems to be against pretty much everything you hear on the news. Check it out or don't, see what you think. abcpoll

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

It says that an incumbent President barely leads a Herman Munster-looking dude with the personality of a paper bag.
Color me impressed.

I think lurch also...
Just found it interesting that you always hear so much about bush getting his backside handed to him when according to this poll that doesn't seem true. Who knows? The real poll will be conducted here in a few months. I just don't think this race will be as close as some would have you to believe.

Face it.......Bush is getting it handed to him. Leading a lame candidate like Kerry by the slimmest of margins? Not really impressive.
It's actually kinda sad that this election looks to be a battle of ineptitude. The only question is who will be more inept before November rolls around.

With Kerry you get 'potential ineptitude'.
Bush's ineptitude is guaranteed.
Truman was a pretty lame candidate as well and a poor senator. He sure surprised us, didn't he?

I thought getting it handed to you is when someone beats you by a wide margin?
Remember only 10% of the voters are undecided and it take s a while for the truth to sift its way through the liberal mainstream press. GW will get a big bounce after the convention and cruise in the late summer and early fall. George Mcgovern, I mean John kerry will fade into distant memory soon enough.

If they had modern media and polling then like now it would have been no suprise. It was a suprise because news took a week to travel back then. Nice try at a comparison for you however.

Its a great comparison for those whose eyes are unfettered by their biases.
Harry Truman was poor senator and a great president.
Kerry has the same potential.
As did Dumbya, until he flushed it down the toilet along with his credibility and the trust of the american people.
How long has it been again since an incumbent with confidence ratings as low as Dumbya's has been reelected?
Hold on tightly to the dream Elvis.

I can face that the left has slammed him on about every single issue yet, he is still ahead. I guess in reading this link I was a little suprised that he was actually leading in a lot of important areas. If you had just listened to the news or read the paper I wouldn't have come to that conclusion. I also hear a lot of chest thumping going on by the demos like this election is in the bag? Who knows? Ain't worth wasting sweat over. They all belong to the same club anyway, they just sign the checks a little different.

You know something? This the single most brilliant thing I've heard posted on this website...ever, kidding aside.
Whores to their consituencies and not the electorate. People with my political bent have it only slightly better when lefty is in office which is why I tend to argue so fervently in that direction.

The criminal who master-minded the whole caper and after being caught by Daphnie, Shaggie and the gang and having his mask pulled off exclaims,"and I would of gotten' away with it too if it wasn't for you meddling kids."

Harper Dock? What has the old Harper Ferry Dock to do with the Port of Bremerton? I grew up on the beach just outside of Manchester, we owned a beach home, and I don't think Harper is anywhere near Bremerton. I can remember when both the dock at Manchester and Harper where owned by first the old Black Ball Ferry and Wahington State Ferry Systems. I can even remember the old Boat House next to the Manchester Ferry Dock.
