I have reached some conclusions over the last couple of weeks regarding the Swift Vote controversy. In the interest of full disclosure I must say the following:
1. I have never served in the military (classified as a Conscientous Objector by my Draft Board in 1971).
2. It follows that I have never been in combat.
3. However, I have been in some fairly hair raising experiences shared with other people.
So, my question for the board - Is it possible for both the SVFT and John Kerry to be right? In those experiences I mentioned, with adrelanine pumping to the max, the experience was viewed quite differently by all those involved. It occurs to me that in a combat situation, there may be many different reccolections and the folks that have those reccolections would all believe that they saw and remembered the truth.
More full disclosure - I am not interested in fighting anyone who does not agree with me. I will always try to remain civil. I recognize that I will not convince the Bush supporters of the danger posed by this President and his possible reelection. I also recognize that the Bush supporters will not convince me that W is the man. I'm really just wanting to get your opinions as to my conclusion.
