Heading back to Maui for another 10 days leaving next Sunday. Was there in May for 10 and didn't make it out fishing. Truth be told didn't make it to far past the pool \:D Spent the time teaching my daughter to swim \:D

Anyway, I think I am going to get out this time. Any recommendations on a charter? What's good to go for this time of year? Thank you.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Woof! Woof!! Thanks and I hear ya. \:D I was just to lazy to do much last time and I'm not saying I wont be this time but I might try and muster up some energy to get me out. I am usually pretty depleted after trying to figure out what type of drink to make or is it a beach day or pool day... I'll tell you what though. If I was single again a great place to hang out is by the kiddy pool!! Some damn hot mama's there!! ;\)

Anyway, you're right. It's Maui so it can't be that bad. I wish all my decisions in life were this difficult...

I went out on the Desperado, PMartin, about 10 years ago. I can't say that I would give a strong recommendation, but the captain seemed to know his stuff and the 1st mate was good about answering my endless questions. I got a Mahi, Mahi and the interesting thing about that trip was that the skipper had us take our shoes off and after my fish got on the boat and was flopping around, the hook (a big one with a barb) got under another customers foot and went right through his foot. The fish was still flopp'n w/ the hook still in. The guy was in so much pain, he was puk'n over the side. But he was a sport and said, "go ahead, keep fishing while were on top of the fish!"

I talked to my buddy in Maui. He's a former Charter boat captain and now a teacher. He told me a few charters that you should check out...

1-Hookela
2-Extreme Spurt
3-Absolute

I didn't get any numbers but they shouldn't be hard to find once you get over there. Just ask around.

If you charter a whole boat you'll be paying $850 plus tip. If you go on a share boat, with other people whether you know them or not, $175.

Also make sure you ask about their catch policy. What the boats catch is how they make most of their money, by selling the fish to the restaurants. I think some will let you keep a mahi mahi or ono if you get one. You may want to check though depending on what you were thinking.

Thanks! I will take that info with me. After checking 'em out we'll probably just charter a boat. Don't have to worry about offending other people that way.

Leaving Sunday am!! CAN'T WAIT!!!
