You don't know Dick Cheney.

I believe Dick Cheney is going to wipe the floor with the Silky Pony-Breck Girl John Edwards tonight at the VP debate.

John-Boy Edwards may have been good at chasing ambulances and selling junk science to easily manipulated empathetic rubes in the civil courtrooms of the South, but tonight he's going to be dealing with an opponent who's a true heavy-weight of in the realm of intellectual boxing.

Despite how the Pro-Socialism Michael Moores of the world have tried to falsley villainies Dick Cheney, tonight America will see a knowlegable man with a deep breadth and understanding of complex issues who will systematically beat down and expose Edwards for the 'one trick' Silky Pony that he really is.

John-Boys 'shuck and jive/ ahh-shucks' BS won't win against reasoned logic. John Edwards has been running for president/vp almost as long as he purportedly served in the Senate, and the fact is he resigned his Senate seat (not to focus on the campaign) because he knew he couldn't be re-elected in his own state (by the people that know him best).

I know the VP debates have historically had little effect on the outcome of the Presidential election, but I think this one will when people consider having Opie Taylor one heartbeat away from being the leader of the free world. How many people were enthusiastic about voting for Walter Mondale after seriously considering the possibility of having Geraldene Ferraro calling the shots or Ross Perot if Admiral "Why Am I Here" Stockdale would be the go-to guy?

John Edward's silver tongue may have allowed him to be victorious in the past and taken him a long way--but tonight he's going to be beat by a better man.

Rory - If Dan Quayle did not give anyone pause back in 1988 - I expect that this one will not either.

In regards to tonight's debate - I will miss this one as well - soccer practice. But, we can always hope that Dick drops a couple of F bombs and show the nation just what kind of man he is. We shall see.....

Wow, that's a pretty high standard that you set for Dick Cheney. We'll see if it is truly intellectual boxing, as you describe it, or just more gloom and doom scare tactics, as he displayed at the RNC. As far as being easily manipulated, the same question could be asked to the neocons who bought into this whole Iraq war with minimal justification and unsubtaniated facts.

I can listen to just about all the Fox News guys, but not him. He is the most obnoxious SOB on TV, the farthest from unbiased jurnalism on any news oriented station!

I do not care for Hannity but I respect him for being open about his bias. Rather, Brokaw Jennings and the people at MSNbc,Cnn etc are just as biased. They hide it in thinly veiled attempt to appear neutral for the avg. schmuck. The end result is the same.

Sean Hannity doesn't profess to be a journalist or unbiased. He's a politcal commentator with a well known political viewpoint---just like the lefts representative Alan Colmes (author of Red, White and Liberal) who is his counterpoint.


Given a choice, I'd rather be 'Hannitized' by Sean Hannity than have Alan Colmes give me a 'Comb-Over' any day.
