Showing your compassionate side again huh? I wasn't sure which King your Moniker was referring to until now. Maybe everyone should just call you Richard from now on...

Is it that hard to avoid a thread if all you are going to do is be an ass?

Not a close personal friend, never even listened to Pantera. But I personally find your insensitive remarks to a mans murder repugnant.

It is amazing how little you can know about people on forums but how much they tell about themselves at the same time!

All hail TheKing Richard Cranium!

Waky,

If you have to look that far into something so minor to find repugnant you need a life.

I first saw Pantera back in the early to mid 80's while working the Houston / Dallas / Austin club scene. At that time they were doing more commercial type metal and Dimebag was calling himself 'Diamond' Darell.

He was a genuinely nice guy and one HELL of a guitar player.

Very tragic. \:\(

I don't know. I met him 20 years ago and didn't follow Pantera through their 'really heavy' period during the 90's. Sorry.

yeah, he had the v 'tee..

he endorsed dean guitars, which had a trademark flying v headstock.

and as for you elvis...

Know it or not Pantera was THE icon of american hard rock and metal in the 90's and an extremely influential band. They put out one of the ten best heavy metal records ever and have moved upwards of 25 million units in the us alone.

Dimebag's real name was Darrel and yes you fkn asshole, it's a surprise to every single one of his fans. MILLIONS OF THEM! So show some respect for the murdered, the victims, the families of the victim's and move along. go shovel some organic **** or something, i'm not going to let you get by insulting the good name of Darrel Abbot. It was the lead story on CNN's website last time I checked so take a walk if you don't care. An entire generation of americans do....

I'm not a huge Pantera fan anymore but this is a tragedy in every bit the sense that the murder of John Lennon was a tragedy, 24 years to the day yesterday.

btw...John Lennon smoked dope too.

how else do you explain the beatles letting ringo sing?

i got to meet darrel when i was doing the radio thing. great guy...and i never say that about guys so well connected in the industry. It's a hard business to get by in while maintaining your credibility, Dimebag somehow pulled it off.

RIP

take a hike elvis, the douchebag you call a president is still alive.

Now, if someone had blown Dumbya's brains out in front of his fans perhaps you would understand the magnitude of this tragedy in the music community.

would comments like this be appropriate: 'no loss, he was douchebag anyway'...?

DBD and his brother Vin were staunch republicans and worked on several fronts to get music packages to the troops.

Its guys like you, that just spout stoopid **** off at the mouth without thinking about it that the make rest of the conservatives, the ones with brains and an iota of compassion, wince.

Seriously...take your trolls to another thread or we're internet fighting....

Seeing as I just got home from last night a couple hours ago..... I don't think I'll be around any whiskey tonight. I will in a couple of days though probably.

I will have to have the memorial then.
