It's very telling how some people continually resort to personal attacks and childish name calling when they run out of ideas or the ability to debate like mature adults --I've bitten my tongue repeatedly for months and like an adult tried to debate ideas and question the public officials that put them forth, not personally attacking the people on this board who are in agreement with said officials.

When people like DanS and KK continually resort to personal attacks and childish name calling it tells on lookers a lot more about those two individuals than it does the person they're trying to smear with profanities.

Don't participate in this board much... but going back to the original topic I would like to thank H20 for the link to the gov study on the oil peak he posted. Ironic that this did come from a government study under the Bush Administration but all the Bush supporters don't want to believe it is real.

Don't give up, educating others in hopes of eventually changing policy is all I think we as individuals can do, and your efforts have made a difference. Its hard to know what to believe, but it seems obvious that the peaking of oil resources is inevitable and the important question is what are we going to do about it and when?

Well, as long as GW has anything to say about it, we're going to keep on leading our country into bankrupcy, spend money we don't have on yet more oil exploration and research and continue to support energy interests and vehicle manufacturers that rely on old technology. We will not encourage public and private research into new energy sources nor will we recognize the pollution/environmental problems associated with burning fossil fuels.

And if that does not work we will pretend there is no energy crisis, no finite amount of fossil fuels to be had and blame any problems on the previous administration. Have I missed anything?
