Flawed life forms? Whatever would make one think the Omniscient one doesn't have a random number generator and derives some entertainment from watching what pops in and out of being. I am pretty sure from the references to Sodom an Gomorrah in the best ancient history book we have that he wasn't too fond of bestiality or rump rangers.

KRM, enjoyed your reference to the first parts of "2001: A Space Odyssey." Really now who's to say that isn't the way it happened? I'm still waiting for a moon of Jupiter to go nuclear.

Intelligent Design is a neat subject; I did some work a while back tying it to Unified Theory so I have studied it thoroughly. It has the makings of a theory but many are not happy about the groups that have latched on to it for furthering the creation agenda; I personally believe that some day it might bind creationism with evolution but it’s not even close to that yet.

Albert Einstein said “science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.”

The sad news is that the school board candidates were partisan. I thought school board elections were non-partisan, but maybe that's just a PNW thing.

“since it is not possible for us to possess the idea of a most perfect being if this being lacks the most important characteristic of existence. If God did not exist then He would not be the most perfect being, but we clearly have the idea of the most perfect being so therefore God must exist."

WAYCROSS, GA—A routine laying-on of hands ended in a fatal cardiac embolism for a worshiper at the One, True, Glorious, Excruciated, And Risen Christ Traveling Gospel Church Sunday. "Losing a fellow Christian is always the hardest part of this job," attending faith healer Harlon Pearcey said. "I invoked the name of the Holy Trinity to drive the sickness out from the poor sinner's heart, but sadly, a blockage in the sinner's pulmonary artery stopped God's love, and much blood, from getting through." The American Faith-Healing Association issued a statement saying that Pearcey followed trinity-invocation and snake-handling guidelines during the procedure

Fundamentalist Christianity: fascinating. These people actually believe that the world is twelve thousand years old. Swear to God. Based on what? I asked them.

"Well, we looked at all the people in the Bible and we added 'em up all the way back to Adam and Eve, their ages? Twelve thousand years."
"Well, how f'ing scientific, OK. I didn't know that you'd gone to so much trouble there. That's good. You believe the world's twelve thousand years old?"
"That's right."
"OK, I got one word to ask you, a one word question, ready?"
"Uh huh."
"Dinosaurs."

You know, the world's twelve thousand years old and dinosaurs existed, and existed in that time, you'd think it would been mentioned in the f'ing Bible at some point:

And O, Jesus and the disciples walked to Nazareth. But the trail was blocked by a giant brontosaurus... with a splinter in its paw. And the disciples did run a-screamin'. "What a big f'ing lizard, Lord!"
"I'm sure gonna mention this in my book," Luke said.
"Well, I'm sure gonna mention it in my book," Matthew said.
But Jesus was unafraid. And he took the splinter from the brontosaurus paw, and the brontosaurus became his friend. And Jesus sent him to Scotland where he lived in a loch, O so many years, attracting fat American families with their fat f'in' dollars to look for the Loch Ness Monster. And O the Scots did praise the Lord: "Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!"

A note to all of you, metyphysicals.

While you all are trying to understand the meaning of life? I am, just trying to get my chips blue without dulling my cutting point,
