The Centrailia City Light Powerhouse in Yelm has a nice launch but it is only open 8-4 (I think). If your rig isn't gone by the time the gatekeeper goes home you are locked in. I don't know if they tow or not when that happens.
Foggedin knows more about this drift than I do.
You can also launch at the Tank Crossing on Ft. Lewis.

Most people put in at the tank crossing, thats where I put in at.The power house guy is a jerk, and he will close the gate at 4:00 pm.The tank crossing is only 1/2 mile below the power house.

Do you need a permit or permission to launch a db at the tank crossing?

I have not needed a pass at the tank crossing but I do not leave my rig there. I think the powerhouse gate closes at 3:30p.m. and the "gatekeeper" does not go home he lives there, for some reason the public boat launch is only open when the "gatekeeper" is on the clock.(what a waste of a perfectly good boat launch). He could hook up a electric gate opener and push the button from his recliner but that would take to much energy and there would be vagrants like you and me using the launch like the state intended.

Good Luck

Yes. But you can get a range pass at the fort. Contact the range office and they will let know what you need to do.

Anyone who wants want can get one.

Good luck
