Has anyone had recent sucess on the Kalama? There have been lots of boats and people, but I haven't heard or seen much action for a few weeks.
Today (New Year's Eve), it was very busy and I didn't see a fish caught.

Little slow. Floated it last week. 1 fish. bait divers. Came off.

I bet the upper river you could get some fish. You gotta hole hop though....

Thanks for the response, I'm afraid your right. Same thing happened to me with a bait diver a few weeks back, very subtle hit also. Hope things pick up soon.

Floated it twice just after Thankgiving for 1 winter steelhead haven't been back since, a friend of mine fishes it once or twice a week and hasn't given me a good report yet, thats ok though, been finding fish much closer to home.

We banked it on Tuesday afternoon. I missed a fish and saw a red striped summerun swim down the river close to shore. "Dad" got a bright skinny fin clipped hen. He was going to release it but had it hooked in the eye. He thought it was a winterun but it looked like a late summerun to me. The skeins were tight with little eggs.
