I've landed 7 brats and 2 natives in 4 trips wading a small river where I only saw 2 other anglers over the 4 trips. Covered 2 to 4 miles of river each day. This is less than an hour from Seattle. So I say yes - you'll probably never see the name of this river featured in an article. You show somebody where to park and hike in half a mile to a great drift that's pretty much the only way they're going to find it - You know they'll show up fishing "your" drift with their neighbor and brother-in-law the next weekend - so you just don't tell him where you're catching your fish. Productive water with no people close to home is something you protect.

Like you mentioned there are probably not many zippers, but the more you talk about it and broadcast your fishing prowness on a specific river over the internet, it will bring more people to it. Pretty obvious really

No such thing as a "zipper river" If I were trailrat77, I would say the salmon and queets were my zippers! And no one is allowed to fish them!
