Has anyone been fishing on the Ronde lately? Just wondering if anyone has any reports, I'm heading over there this weekend.

My sources tell me it's low, clear, and cold- not good conditions for over there for hooking a ton of fish. If you can I would wait for the CFM to get above 2200. Of course it'll get alot higher than that when it does, but when it starts to fall back into shape - hit it! If you are still going to go, fish small gear in dark colors(brown, black, purple) and I'm sure you'll still pick up a few...

Good luck

Luke, GR at Troy is running at 1,050 cfs and has been low and clear for a couple of weeks. Water temp as 41 F a week ago sunday and dropped to a cool 33 F last weekend. I wouldn't hold your breath for higher water because we ain't got much snow and no rain in forcast.

Fish are certainly in the river in strong numbers, look for slow, deep, structured glides and fish small as indicated in other posts.

Just about anything will take fish from small egg clusters to plain yard (orange) to leeches and nymphs.

Prime time should be 10am-2pm. Good luck, I'm sure you will catch some fish......
