I just bought a new Yami T8 and have a Panther link rod to steer the kicker with my main motor. There are two bolt holes in the T8 meant for this purpose, that is to attach the steering connector rod.
Anyone know the size of stainless bolt to buy for those bolt holes? Do I use a nylon locking nut on the other side?

Measure the bore of the hole within you wish to pass the fastener, that will be the maximum diameter of your fastener your fastener could be smaller not larger. If you can through bolt use a nylock, if not drill and tap, and use locktite to keep the corrosion to a minimal. \:\)

my F-8 Yami has two metric bolts with 10MM heads, don't remember the thread off hand, but it is typical, not fine or anything. Holes on mine are threaded, so I used stainless bolts and lock washers. Put no-seize on the threads to stop corrosion.

Haifish, thanks for the info. I'm glad to hear it is a standard thread, I was afraid it would be some weird thread size. Good info on the locktite for corrosion. Thanks again.
