My boss told me to work up a guided trip for a client in the next month or two. I cant decide what to do...should I take him for Kings on the upper Skagit and/or Sky, Summer Steelhead on the Cowlitz/Sky or Sturgeon on the Columbia?

I am also looking for suggestions on guides for these fisheries. I searched around but most guides seem to be heading to Alaska.

BTW- I tried talking him into that trip..no go! \:\(

I second the Fraser for summer springs! You can't beat the scenery either!

I'd give Pat Graham a call and see about fishing the OP.

Little pressure and enough fish to keep everyone happy.

Some really good ideas I had not thought of. That Fraser river fishery sounds like a good trip!

Beware though, the Fraser summer fishery is basically a massive floss fest! It may not be to your clients liking.

WARNING: AMATEUR OPINION

If your client has never landed anything bigger then a trout or little green fish I would go with the Cowlitz. If he's hooking big fish on a regular basis he'll never even notice the lack of scenery or the crowds.

Otherwise Parker's suggestion sounds good. As a recent refugee from Idaho, I can tell you that seeing the OP for the first time made my eyes water and my mouth drool. Some of the most beautiful rivers I have ever seen. It is a very wise man who can make a living spending his winters in that type of counrty. If your client hasn't been to the Op, it should definitely be a consideration.

Ughh people with stupid angina keep interupting my posting. sry

Treat your client to an OP trip. The scenery will be great regardless of the fish count. Lots of great guides to choose from also. Good luck.

I would agree with the OP thought. I get over there at least once a year for a 2-3 day weekend. However, I am hitting it in late December/January. What fishery is available on the OP in June/July?
