Just got back from fishing PD. Fished from 5:30am to 9:30 on the start of the outgoing tide. There must have been roughly 20 boats on the water. We didn't get a single takedown nor did we see action anywhere else. It didn't take long to see the fish weren't anywhere around the clay banks or the slag pile.

We worked the graveyard shift last night and the thrill of watching nothing happen was putting us to sleep.

I used to do that all the time when I was younger. Work at night, go home, load the boat and head out for fishing. Come home, catch a couple of hours of sleep and go back to work and start it over again.

Of course, during those times it seemed I lived my life in a stupor. Never felt quite awake. I would be trolling along and fall asleep with my hand on the tiller. Then a big hit would almost pull my pole out of my hand and I'd realize that I was almost crashing into people.

I stopped doing the up all night and then go fishing thing when I crashed my boat. I was out too early, going too fast. Sleepy and making bad decisions.

Thanks for the report.

Fished last night from 4:30 pm to 6:45 pm at the slag pile and Dalco...zippo. Fished Saturday at the slag pile and Gig Harbor side (Sunrise) ...nothing then either. Hopefully, the fish will show soon.

Fished the Point aera over the weekend. Found some bait on the bottom in front of the boathouse and slightly west in 120-150ft. We got a 9 pounder Saturday morning around 6am, and a 7 pounder Sunday morning around 6 am. Heard of a few fish caught Saturday, but didn't see them, and didn't hear of or see a fish caught on Sunday other than mine.
Tides should be calming down and it should improve .....
Hot spot style flasher and whole bait got 'em for me.....

I'll be out giving it a go mid morning... Haven't heard too many good things since the slaughter on opening day.

I went out on Thursday and got one ten pounder mooching, did see a good number of fish caught though. Went out on Sunday with one of my girls and had one hit before going back to the harbor, where I had to keep the girl entertained with bullheads, flounders and even a crab and two dogfish, while we waited for the blessing of the fleet festivities to die down. I was blessed with holy water, at least I hope thats what it was, as they drove by. Might give it a go in the morning before work and then again on the weekend.

Fished it Sun, worked 3 rod most of the day. Hit a little 10lb that we think was a early fish summer on the south end of the island. Lots of flounder, should get better soon.

Trolled for about 3-4 hours yesterday, finally managed a 5-6lber(it was fin clipped I believe it was an early king also). That was the only fish they said they seen yesterday at the marina and the launch. First one I caught since opening day. If I dont get out there later today I will be out tomorrow. Hopefully the report will be better than the last few days.
