I am going to fish the Green (Duwamish) river this saturday at flaming geyser. We have been having trouble getting them to bite. We tried eggs, sandshrimp, corkies, spinners, spoons, and jigs. They have not been interested in anything that we have thrown. Any advice in the color of jig we should try, being that the water is low and clear.

Thanks!

Try a 1/16th OZ nightmare ji. Works for me down on the Kalama under the same conditions.

i do quite well on the green in low water conditions with a 1/16th oz pink jig head 2 red beads and white yarn tail. i make them myself and haevn't seen any the same. although there are a few that do look alike. but they don't have the same pressance in the water.

Red/pink has always been a good color on the Green as well as Cerise/purple, Purple/pink and the go to jig for picky fish....Black/red. Generally 1/8th or 1/16th oz.

Are you sure there are fish there? Maybe you need to move.

yep thats right, I don't think theres a steelhead in the green. No more that one per 15 river miles ;\)

I'm not saying to switch rivers. If the guy is standing on the same rock casting at the same water all day, his problem might not be lure color.
