Good Charter's in Westport

My wife and kids are gone this week (Disneyland) and I have Thur and Fri off, so I thought I might sneak out and try my luck. Have not been on a charter for quite a while, can anyone recommend a good outfit to go with. Thanks in advance!

Mr. Magoo, the Tequela II and the Fury are all excellent charters. The trouble you're going to have is most the reputable boats book up a month or two in advance. Don't, I repeat, *DON'T* book with the Silver Dutches, even though I'm sure they can fit you in.

It's funny to me, to read the mention of the Silver Dutchess. While I have never been out on her, an acquaintance of mine sometimes works on her as a hand. Next time I see him I'll have to grill him about that operation.

I think all the Westport Charter boats are good. I have personally been out on the Hula Girl and like Captain Steve and his son. They work hard to make sure you have a good time. I heard the charters didn't do so well on the opener. Good luck! Beeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Best trip I've had out there was on the Hula Girl from Westport Charters...

I was out yesterday on the Tequilla Too, Ken and crew work hard for each customer. The Fury is also out of Deep Sea Charters and they are very good also. Almost all charters had open boats throughout this week, however this being a holiday weekend they were booked. Check out the Tequilla Too website for pictures prices and reports. http://www.tequillatoo.com "Angling may be said to be like math in that it can never fully be learnt."

Kevin on the Gold Rush, Steve on the Hula Girl, Brian on the Sea Angel, and Paul on the Pescatore. All of these boats are run out of Westport Washington Charters, 360 268-0900. Ask for Kelly, tell her Andy teh banker sent you. I've fished with all of these guys, and they all work hard.

I hate to make one of my first posts a negative one, but stear clear of the Duchess - the captain has the entirely wrong attitude for what should be an enjoyable experience and has ruined more than one day on the water. He's more fit to run a forced-labor camp than a charter boat. Here are a few choice posts from the past. http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:OjVLY...+westport&hl=en http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:FnFAZ...+westport&hl=en I've never seen such consistently negative feedback about any other operator. I'm amazed he's still out there. Sorry, Capt. Dennis -- but I owe you one.
