Picked up two 3 lb. hatchery coho right at Beal, both hit while floating the gear while getting ready to drop the DRs. One on a spoon, one on green hootchie. Both tasted great! Same day salmon, doesn't get any better!

Lots of bait south of Dolphin.

07-24 Launched at Elliot Bay and commenced fishing 2 DR's at 0445. Fished from there in past Saltys down to the corner and then around to past the east waterway and all the way back out to Duwamish head with no hits and only saw one fish on in the crowd. Fished 11" hot spot with green hootchie on one rod at 55 to 85 feet. Pro-Troll 11" flasher with glow army truck colors and green glo twinkle skirt at 75 to 125 feet. By 1000 pulled up and moved to Dolphin Pt. Saw one fish caught and caught one almost legal blackmouth. Finally called it a day at 1200 and headed back. Fish checker said 7 kings and a handful of small resident silvers for 77 boats as of 1300.

Side note, coming back from Dolphin we spotted a car show at Alki so came in close and got to check it out without fighting any crowds. Some very nice street rods there. Also polished the prop a little when we got a little too close due to my not watching the depth as close as I should because of the distraction. Pulled back out and got a very close of a mature bald eagle perched on the Duwamish Head marker as we went by.
