make sure it is galvanized!!! You don't mention the size of your boat, but I prefer a roller trailer so I can launch at sling launches and they are easier to use on ramps that are not very steep.

Judging by your moniker... I'd say keep the trailer and get a new boat... :p

A friend of mine was in an accident last year and he has a boat trailer that was totaled by his insurance company. The trailer, although damaged, tracks straight and is repairable. It was less than 1 year old, galvanized, dual axle, 5,000lb, rollers, SS brakes, etc...a very good trailer. He used it on his new 21' Arima. He is looking for $700 for the trailer as is. He and I believe it could be repaired for less than $500. This could be a $3500 trailer for $1200.
If I had a boat that size in need of a trailer, I would snap it up. Email me if you are interested.

I bought a King for our 22' Grady this year. The trailer is galvanized, has disc brakes, dual axels, rated at 5500# and I went with the LED lights, out the door was about $3900. The trailer does have bunks but they have some kind of polymer rather than carpet on them and the boat comes off and goes on easy, plus I think it supports the boat better, rollers were about $200 more I think. I've owned EZloader, Calkins, Shorelander, Pacific and a couple others that I'm too old to remember the names of and I like this King the best. Got it up at Dagmars in Everett. Fishinut picked one up for his boat not too long after I got this one and he likes his too. The price was well under anything else I found with one exception that was a POS that I really didn't even think about.

I replaced the trailer under my 22' Alumaweld, and I went with a Tricker. I have nothing but good things to say about the company, the service, and the trailer itself. They build flat trailers for sleds, and roller trailers for V-Hulls.
