Our 2005 Alaska season is in the books!! The Smith party ended last season with us (alaso started this year), and followed suit again with our last "real" trip of the year:

Finshed the season with not one:

but two double headers ... always a crazed scene with tidewater silvers in a foot of water!

Doug played good host to his guests, but came back with a vengeance later on!

This is our last fish of the season for a client, a nice tubby silver that put on quite the show!!

Even were greeted by a young bald eagle waiting for us on the cleaning table, he got to eat well \:\)

And I say real trip because Saturday morning it was time to take the little ones down the river for their first river trip for silvers!!

Ben, all bundled up in the morning chill, and Corey as we bob down the river on the first frozen morning of the fall!

One of the Snoopy Rods left over from the Kenai Red Classic (still loaded with 30 lb. power pro awaits a bite:

It's not five minutes and Mya is into our first fish ... an Alaskan steelhead of about five pounds. C&R mandatory and no removal from the water ... we free the small hen and send her on her way:

Then it was time for the silvers ... Mya switched out Snoopy for a "grown-up" rod and lands a dandy!

Ben had his crack at one too, cranking madly, this one stood no chance!!

And now, our VERY LAST fish of the year ... two happy kids & a proud uncle:

Ben's nopt sure what is more interesting at the hanging rack ... the fish or the giant mud puddle just steps away.

And a little more yet, image limit is eight, so I have to piece it together:

The mud puddle won out!! Oh my, what the heck, he's messy already, have at it!!

After some clean up & nap, Smores for all!!

Thanks Smalma, stir up a little rain for us around the 1st of October \:\)

Hey, I know that Snoopy Rod! ;\)

Go Tweety, Go! Glad to see that I left some of my steelhead catching mo-jo on that rod!

Great report and photos! See you two in the fall.
