Must people were running straight out to 600-700 ft of water. The area around the rips at Wadaah(sometimes a couple of miles out) had been good in past years but nobody was fishing it this year(could be worth a couple of hours), the area just outside Tatoosh, Duncan rock and Dunce rock can also be hot at times. Bait has been scarce so if you happen upon a bait ball work it. We got our nicest silvers down toward Umitilla but that's a long run. Have fun-- if you haven't been there yet make sure to make some time to see the Makah museum, on your left as you come into Neah Bay. You'll like Snow Creek-- as your heading down to the dock look to your left and you'll see where we camp on the end across the creek on the end. We only use Neah Bay to fuel up at the fuel dock.

If you are talking about Neah bay fishing, last weekend the one (and maybe only) hot spot was right off the Duncan rock bouy. A mapping GPS is mighty handy to get to this place, but once you are there you can use the bouy itself to guage your drift direction, rate, and general location.
One thing about this area,..... the currents are always taking you somewhere!!!

Missed you up there, JG. Kids and I had a great time. Salmon fishing was less than stellar, dare I say it sucked? Ended the trip on a high note with all my little ones scoring on bottomfish just around the corner from Snow Creek. Full report and pics to follow.... if I can get thru my draft document for the GH salmon management plan tonight.
