FnP I can tell ya that if that were my fish I could have had to take perfect measurements and several pictures and I would put my self so far in debt if I had to to get a perfect reproduction made of that fish... Hands down! I don't believe I've ever seen anything quite so big and beautifully chrome!

Here is a minty fresh one that took a beat up little royal coachman dry fly (scanned with the picture). The 5th steelie I hooked on that fly but the first one I actually landed with it. Not big but chrome.

That run gave up a bigger fish the year before to a wet fly.

Dont know exactly how big this one is. Never did take measurements. Buddy and i estimated 40-43" long. I used an egineering scale ruler and came up with 42.5" so im gonna stick to that. Girth? anybodys guess...lotsa good pics,
Ordarv, that is a freakin toad, was that a early Feb Sky fish by chance???

Yeah, Ondarvr's fish is a TOAD! Easily the biggest of the lot! I'm sure I've seen that photo up at 3Rivers. I'm sure it's a Sky fish.

What an awesome fish! I'd give my left nad for that fish!

Brokenrod easily has one of the nicest and biggest hens I'v seen. Oof.

I'd post some photos, but you all have seen them before. Sorry, nothing new (this year) to add. \:\(

Ok, who am I kidding? This is the last toad I've caught:

Not a long fish, but it had the girth.

Here's a 32-33 pound monster Hatchery Fish, off of the Quinault last springer. Didn't get officially weighed until 24+ hours later and by that time, it was 30ish.

Todd,
Those are the nicest summer steelhead up there in B.C. I've landed some close to 20 while chinook fishing. Love those transparent fish.

Yes, it's from Sky, Feb 21st 2004, the last week you could lift a fish out of the water for a legal pic.

I was side drifting a pink worm on 8# line, first cast of the morning. My wife took the picture and we released the fish. I went back out and on the first cast caught a 13# hen, we then hit two more an hour or so later. I plan to get a mount of it this year, I saw a guy at one of the shows last year that did a fantastic job on his mounts, they were a work of art. Now that I have the $1,300 to have it done I can't find his name or number. He had a mount of a 40# on display, If any body knows him please let me know. I think he lived on the OP.

That Skeena summer is a freaking beast and as clean as the salt, quick, take some DNA from that one.

I don't know if it's the same guy, but I'm having a fish done by David Campbell. Truly an amazing artist.

http://home.att.net/~drcgnw/home.htm

Sol's 30 pound steelhead is a true work of art.

David is not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

I'd seriously and highly recommend that you call him up and go see his work shop and some of his mounts.

Beautiful pics by all. Thanks for brightening up an otherwise dreary December day.

I noticed that quite a number of large steelhead pictured in this thread were caught on a pink worm rigged under a float...... Hmmmmmmm. ;\)

Yeah....that's a great pic. That fish was caught this last Spring, most likely would have been our new state record if they hadn't released it....gotta give em' lots of credit for that though, ultimate sportsmen to turn down all the publicity to see that fish continue on its way

A 38" X I forgot from the Duc

Unmeasured

Nice "BOOT", size 12 or 39" x 22.5" 2004

A yard of chrome

My largest to date, 42" x 22.5" before I knew better.

Screw the brats, bring on the freight trains! Unless you get a nice brat like Holehog posted
I checked out Dave's Taxidery mentioned above and was blown away by the life-like detail. Very cool... Anybody have a rep made out of any of these monsters posted? What would a ballpark cost be for a 40"+ ? Might have to sell the boat and left nutt, but it will be worth it \:D
