Yea, a Rapala tipped with a worm has caught many a giant trout for me. Trolled or casted with a slow retrieve to make it look like its struggling to eat the worm sure gets them to attack like a shark .

Yep, mine is the time-tested, true blue, dialed-in , over-the-top olive wooly bugger. This doggone thing will catch bows, brownies, cutts, brookies and even bass and crappie, in both lakes and rivers. It imitates baitfish, nymphs, leeches and who knows what else. I became so adept at trolling, drifting and stripping them in various waters that I now avoid using them til things get slow. Why? Because believe it or not, it's unfair at times...the fish don't have a chance!

The one thing I have used to catch nearly every species of fish in this state is a nightcrawler. I have caught trout every species but golden, bass, crappie, bluegill, perch, salmon, steelhead, walleye, catfish, etc.. I will try other lures and bait at times but I always bring nightcrawlers just in case.

Lake Quinault sea runs, Canadian Wonder 1/2 & 1/2 or red/pearl. light gear, no weight, long leader, have fun.

For trout fishing the frog colored Flatfish can't be beat. My second fav is trolling a ball of Powerbait.
