The reference is to the famous cot we've had friends and a few clients and who knows else borrow over the years.

It finally died ... T-Bird was the last abuser. When I took it out of it's case the other day when we had a couple of passers-by that night, it was dead beyond repair.

When I saw "the stain", I started staying in Hotels. That thing barely held me, how Tbird slept on that thing is beyond me. Maybe that's why it was bowed in the middle.
