I use live grasshoppers from time to time for bass. Does any know of real durable and real life like grasshopper fly. I've seen the ones in Cabelas but I'm wondering if there are better ones.

I'd look for either deerhair or foam hoppers. The foam, with rubber legs, last well and drive fish nuts. Here's a link to flydepot's Chernobyl Hopper http://flydepot.com/flyfishing/pn--chernobyl-hopper/pid--561/?sid=2cbe18188e5eb1b07a39afb579c1e686

Pisco,

That one looks pretty bouyant. Does that foam suck up a little water? I like to get it down three to five feet and bounce on the rocks into a back eddy. I guess I could put a little split shot on there.

a daves hopper would do the trick with a couple split shot.
