maybe not such a good idea, no fish on the elwha due to a power outage at the hatchery 4 years ago, go ahead and hit the dungy though, that is if you like fishing with 40 of your greatest buddies rippin trebs in every hole

mreyns,
I know it can get like that! Year before, Bill H. and I started way below the hatchery and waded the river until we ran into private property. Some property owners where home so we asked if we could "fish through", some even watched and asked why we weren't keeping any fish. We replied we are just havung fun. We spinner fished the whole stretch almost to 101. Between us countless fish, good times, good memories. That's why I fish the Dungeness, so if you see me and Bill hitch hiking back to the hatchery pick us up.(we walked all the way last time)

Joe, I too have some honest to god good memories of the dungeness, just like you say =) Ever since we've been plagued by this low water for silvers, it just doesn't have the same appeal... BUT, put some water in it and I'd be game for fishing and hiking the upper =)
