I watched the game. BSU seemed to be in a funk for the whole game. They actually played like they weren't well coached, sloppy play, stupid penalties, etc. I was surprised since everyone talks about how good of a coach Peterson is, and he really seems like a good coach.

Two things I noticed. 1) The UW linebackers played really well. Good containment, plug the holes, hit hard, really good. 2) Locker needs someone to throw to, that can catch, and run good routes.

The UW offence does not really have a N-S running threat, and Locker may not make it 4 games if he has to take on safeties and LBs in the secondary on every scamper out of the pocket. The kid is unbelievably fast, I mean I was shaking my head watching him RUN PAST cornerbacks. But running your QB more than 6 times a game, to me seems ludicris, no matter how big of a stud he is. His decision making will come along soon enough, since he has only started 2 games. Barring injury, the kid is going to be the next great QB coming out of UW.

Gotta agree.. the UW running back was nothing special.. he actually sucked. Can't remember seeing a QB as fast as Locker though.

Marques Tuiasosopo and I had a little chuckle there.

Seeing the QB taking on a CB or LB makes me nervous too, but some QB's are meant to run. With some more time at the helm he'll probably decide to pass more and rush less, but you don't want to put chains on someone like him.

No doubt, he is a single handed game changer. I don't think that they will ever put the reins on Locker, unless he is getting banged up. I also think he will develop pocket skills if he starts to get better receiving options. It won't be long however before teams scheme against Locker and make him beat them with his arm and even worse letting the RB carry the ball. I mean USC will not worry at all about letting their CBs cover UW receivers 1 on 1 and let the LBs wait on Locker at the LOS. Hopefully the receivers can step up and start making good plays for him.

I guess, I am tending to think too much of the next level for him. "Most" of your Heisman type QBs are pocket passers with the ability to elude when required. VY is a notable exception and he is excelling by all accounts in the NFL. If he can develop greater pocket skills with his athleticism the guy could be all time.

oh i forgot to add that i would really like to see Marty Tadman get his ass checked next week...he made a pick and got on his knees and pointed to the sky for 5 seconds then ran to the boise state crowd and celebrated for awhile...sure he has the right to celebrate after making a pick, but he took it way too far...to the point where it looked like poor sportsmanship

Marty Tadman is a pretty cool story.. instead of being a tweaker punk and kicking peoples asses for their pocket change, he turned his life around and is a strong influence on kids in the community. Spends alot of time spreading the "word". Gods not my deal, but he walks the talk. He didn't start out life that way.

He does that all the time not just at that game. Sorry you feel so slighted. Why would you want to see someone get hurt over a petty deal like that. Sounds like something a douchbag would say.

i never said anything about getting hurt...i respect you B-RUN but i never said anything about anyone getting hurt and you calling me a douchebag and making a false accusation just dropped you a couple levels in my eyes

as with tadman i saw on the replay that they said he use to be into drugs and turned his life around, that is awesome you always want to see that, i would NEVER want to see a player with a bright future like his get ended by injury...but this was his 13th career INT, he needs to act like he's been there before...he looked like a little pre-madonna running around out there...all i was implying was that he needs to get a little sense checked in to him! he is a great player and for sure will be a NFL prospect but if hes gonna run around like terrel owens on the field then it doesnt matter what he does off of it...

too elaborate a little more football players are tough...they have pads...big hits may rattle them a little but they will bounce back

I was at the game and had a great time. Nice to see Husky stadium back and rocking again. Here is how I saw things from a Dawgs point of view.

Rankin has had four years to prove he's the man and he isn't. He shows signs of brilliance but always reverts back to his happy feet running style. I'd like to see the freshmen get some more carries.

It looked like BSU could have completed passes all day in front of our cornerbacks. The coaches have them giving huge cushions to keep things inside for LB and safety help.

As far a Locker goes, I'd have him run as much as he wants. He actually forces throws sometimes when he should just run. His running will help his passing game over time.

Good win for the Dawgs. OSU should be a great test.
