Sometimes we get too caught up in the pretty pictures to remember this is a blood sport. That picture catches the precise moment when the fish is turning from a fish to a carcass.

So I went to the Skok before a meeting the other day. I'm not going there again. It was my first time since 2001, and it sort of bums me out when I think back about the silver fishing and how those years (96-01)were the beginning of the end of that place.

This is a 225lb Halibut I caught near Homer AK 2 years ago..i'm on the right with the huge s$#$% eating grin on:)

On the way back to Westport from fishing on the "Ultimate" for tuna. Phil's son said "Hey Dave, Check this out". He had removed the lens from a tuna's eye and held it up for me and I captured the sunset on a glassy Pacific evening "Through the eye of a tuna".....

I stare at this photo every single day. I just love it. Looks really good on a 23" monitor. Aside from cropping out a bit of the top and bottom, that's it. Photo is untouched.
