looking to sell or trade.

its a ruger m77 mark2 7mm wsm, perfect condition. only 26 rounds through it. with simmons 3x9x40 scope. serial number is 790-46738

looking to trade for a short action browning BLR would like it to be in as good of condition as my rifle. if not then a extra clip would be nice ;\) they cost a but load lol

my rifle is very nice, very clean with no scratches or wear marks on it. there is just a few little marks on the stock from rubbing up against my shooting sticks on my hip.

idk how to post pics.

but id much rather trade for a browning blr or even a tikka t3 in any caliber

You could sell yours and almost be able to buy my Tikka!

The Ruger is a hell of a gun though my buddy shoots the same but in an 30-06 and put a muzzle break on it so it shoots like a 22 now and that thing is damn accurate!

yeah i really like mine. i put the limbsaver butt pad on it and it is such a nice gun to shoot now. ive only put a handful of rounds through it but you can sure feel the difference.

i just got to fondle a tikka t3 lite 30-06 and fell in love. and i hate synthetic stocks. but man this one just felt so nice in my hands that i gotta have one.

I dont like Synthetic either but there benefits far outweigh there negatives.

The Tikka fits me like a glove also thats why I own so many of them. I wouldnt add a muzzle break on because they are so damn loud. But I would add a limbsaver like you have.

These short mags kick like a mule thats for sure. lukily sighting in a tikka only takes a few shots so its not too bad!!!

yeah. it only took me 3 shots for my ruger. i bore sighted it first. which saved the shoulder alot.

mine short mag actually kicks alot more then my buddies 7mm in the same gun.

The kick really depends on the ammo, hand loads/factory, and stock material.
My dad and I both shoot Ruger M77 in 7mag, with the same hand loads, and his wood stocked gun is a much better shooter than my stainless/synthetic. But I never can feel it when I am shooting at game!!

i had a remington sps synthetic 270wsm. and that gun kicked like a mule. and man it was LOUD! i shot all the factory loads out of it. and you are right each one kicked a little different. i found federal fusion kicked the most but was the most accurate out of it. federal is all i shoot out of any of the guns now.

anyway i know someone has got to want a "new" condition gun with only a handful of shots through it.

i might even trade for a marlin or winchester in 30/30, 35, 44mag with a scope. gun must be in as good of condition as mine though. which means looks new.

It might sell if you didn't say it had recoil like a .338

A .270WSM shoots a 150gr bullet at about 2950fps. A 30-06 shoots a 150gr bullet at about 2950fps. Out of the same model rifle,the recoil will be almost identical. A .338 shooting 250gr bullets at 2700fps has almost 2x the recoil of a .270WSM.

Regardless of the numbers on paper the reality of the kick from my Tikka 270 wsm is more then a 300 win mag which I also have.

Just my opinon but either way I love the 270wsm

reading balistics to determine the kick of a rifle is like bench racing cars.

just cause one car has more HP doesnt mean it will win a race...
