Laugh it up, cowboy. UW has more Pac-10 football championships, Rose Bowl wins, BCS bowl wins and wins over D1A powerhouses than ASU does, and maybe ever will. I'd also say national championships, but you might bring up those archery and gymnastics NC's that ASU DOES have.

Hell yes he deserves blame. You think DJ would have tolerated a defense like that? Ty could have and should have canned Baer some time ago. Hanging 41 points up and losing is just intolerable, especially against the likes of Arizona.

Ty has done a good job of cleaning up the program. Now he needs to either clean up his staff or look for gainful employment elsewhere.

I would trade UW's secondary for WSU's secondary. WSU's secondary is out of postion most of the time and is worse than UW's. The only reason they beat UCLA was that Cowan was hurt and couldn't hit the receivers deep when they beat the corners. The start of the game was horrible and UCLA scored when Bell made a 60 yard and made Hicks look stupid. Hicks redeemed himself when he laid the wood on Breazell and bruised his ribs. Bell got his ACL torn and left the game. Hussain Abdullah still plays out of postion and misses a lot of opportunities to pick the ball. One of the only good defensive players is Mattingly. He played good against ASU, when Doba finally started him, and kept WSU in the game. WSU only plays defense at home or when they blitz. WSU's LBs are improving. Trent can't cover the TE and is slow. Dunn is doing better and Evans is okay. On the Husky LB's EJ Savannah is very athletic but couldn't find the ball when when Oregon was running the wing-T. I'd give a slight edge to WSU. Defensive line I'd give the nod to the Huskies especially at defensive end. WSU can only stop the run by putting 8 in the box or zone blitzes. I think Cal's qualtiy offense is going to take their frustration out against WSU. Back to the Arizona UW game - How does a team blow a 15 pt 4th quarter lead? Can you say Dawg-It?

I hope the Huskies end their alliance with Nike. I believe that contract ends next year. Nike pays the Dawgs to wear their gear, which results in advertising for Nike to sell even more goods. Yep. I have watched the games. He just needs a lot under his belt to consider him a #1 pick. And that experience will come from winnning a few close games, which he hasn't done yet, but that's not necessarily his fault when our D can't stop Arizona from putting over 40 points on us.

Wow....bashing Jake Locker? A freshman quarterback surrounded by inferior O line and marginal players (at best) at the skilled positions? Who is always trying to play "catch-up" in the 2nd half? There isn't a coach/team in the nation that wouldn't take Jake as their quarterback for the next 3 seasons....except maybe Florida with Tebo.

I ran this past Broodbuster a couple of days ago and he said I was nuts..... Jake chose college life (and football) over pro baseball out of HS, professing his "true love" was football, but I would not be surprised if, after 4 years of getting the crap beat out of him as the Husky QB, that he goes into MLB instead of the NFL. He's smart....he picked college life over being a 18 year old multi-millionaire in MLB.

Although he was a stud pitcher, he was projected out of HS to be a 5 tool center fielder along the likes of Grady Sizemore, but better.....

If he does go into the NFL I believe he will be the #1 quarterback selected for that draft, even if it's after just his sophmore season.

And I just got back from the Stanford-UW game and watched UW play a pretty good game. We ran it well, passing was ok, Locker missed a few open guys and had some guys drop his tosses, defense stepped up pretty welll....

Good to see the Huskies win one...

Ike, I agree...considering the players around him, his age, and his experience, Locker is a blue chip stud...if he doesn't drop football and go back to baseball (which he very well may), he'll be a high draft pick who plays on Sundays as a rookie.

yep, it had to end sometime and today was the most likely day...we played good but not perfect which was needed in Eugene, still think we can go to the rose bowl, just have to beat USC at home or at least end up 10-2 and make the holiday bowl...im still pissed though, new years in new orleans would have been sweet:) Huskies still have a shot at a bowl, if they run the ball and play some D like they did today who knows...cheers

Very fun game to be at considering it was a 2-6 team against a 3-5 team. Pretty good Husky crowd for such a bad year, a lot of guys I talked to said they had made travel plans after UW went 2-0 and figured we'd be looking good for a bowl appearance and wanted a nice late fall getaway trip...

ASU is a good team...their conditioning is superb, nearly all the Cal players were limping off the field in the 4th quarter down in Tempe.
